ABOUT VAL MURRAY
Val Murray is a qualified and experienced garden designer, landscape manager, horticultural therapist, teacher and mental health and wellbeing specialist. His professional life includes roles in the public, private and third sector; he is very experienced in both project design and management. In addition, his garden design work has been featured in regional and national lifestyle magazines and he has designed both domestic and commercial landscapes. He has designed for Hartley Botanic Glasshouses at the Chelsea Flower Show.

Val is a garden designer who specialises in providing sustainable solutions and creating gardens with a recognisable structure, beautiful planting and year round interest.
Val currently teaches garden design to adults for the British Academy of Garden Design.
Val is a Friends Resilience (CBT based programmes for all ages) facilitator and creator of nature based initiatives to improve the mental health and wellbeing of both children and adults. He is a specialist in secondary school Design Technology and is hugely experienced in managing young people with complex social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs.
Val co-founded a Community Interest Company created to improve the mental health and wellbeing of people of all ages and capabilities through contact with nature.
